The University of Cumbria is offering a 1 day course in Focussed Shockwave Therapy (F-ESWT), the evidence base and its current uses within MSK management.
This course covers both theoretical and practical learning, ensuring practical experience and competence is achieved in F-ESWT. This course aims to a provide base for the University of Cumbria’s F-ESWT CPD portfolio, with more pathology specific courses to be offered in the near future.
The course aims to introduce the theoretical concepts of:
• Focussed Shockwave and its possible use within rehabilitation.
• Understand the physiological effects of Focussed Shockwave.
• Introduce the contraindications of Focussed Shockwave, and application guidelines.
You will also learn how to:
• Apply Focussed Shockwave, in the treatment of common, chronic soft tissue pathology.
• Develop an understanding of how Focussed Shockwave could be implemented within clinical practice.
A course handbook will be provided on the day.
